"This is to let you know that Ron Hough, a former ringer at Goostrey and Guild Life Member, died on Sunday morning. He was, according to my [Mike Hodge] reckoning, 95. I understand that Ron was the former Headmaster at Goostrey Primary School and was one of 3 ringing Hough brothers (Ron, Sidney and Norman). Ron's nephew, Adrian, is also a ringer. I believe the family were from Knutsford. Ron was a stalwart of ringing at Goostrey until his health declined."
