Key points from Guild AGM.

The key decisions etc. agreed at the Guild AGM at Heswall, Wirral Branch, on 13th September are summarised below.

  • Officers: New Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and Report Secretary appointed. See Officers page.

  • Annual Subscriptions: To be increased to £6.00 from 1 January 2009 (applicable also to Non-Resident Life Members).

  • BRF: £600 to be transferred from the General Fund to the Bell Restoration Fund.

  • BRF Rules: Change to Rule 3 (see Rules) page. Note that the proforma referred to there has yet to be drafted but, once approved by the Executive Committee, which next meets on 21 October, will appear on this website.

  • Guild Programme for 2009: Dates will be set at the next Committee Meeting (see above).
    1. The Guild Festival and 8-Bell Competition will be held in the South Branch. This will likely be moved to a week later (i.e. third Saturday in September) due to clashes with a number of heritage related events.
    2. 6-Bell Competition will be held in the East Branch.
    3. Cheshire Show.
    4. Young Persons’ Ring

  • Life-Membership: Six Members were proposed and ratified for Life Membership of the Guild:

    4. George Armitt of Astbury, St Mary
