Boat and Coach Tour
Participants will need to be at the jetty at The Groves, Chester, (near the bandstand) at 9.30am prompt, where a boat will take them down the River Dee to the landing stage at Eccleston. A 15 minute walk is involved to ring at the first tower. The rest of the tour is by coach, and there will be ringing at four further towers.
Lunch of baguettes and chips or salad will be in a local pub. Return to The Queen Hotel will be 7pm.

Beer and BBQ
As part of the Chester Diocesan Guild's 125th anniversary celebrations, Council Members and Friends are invited to a Real Ale and BBQ evening from 7.30pm. This will be held in Overleigh St Mary's School, Old Wrexham Road, Handbridge, Chester, CH4 7HS. The venue is a 30-minute walk from The Queen Hotel, but there is plenty of free parking. A shuttle bus will operate between The Queen Hotel and the school all evening for a nominal charge, first departure 7.30pm, last return 11.30pm.
The bar is being run and supplied by Mobberley Fine Ales of Mobberley, Cheshire (www.mobberleyfineales.co.uk). The owners of the brewery are both Chester Guild ringers. There will also be the usual BBQ fare of burgers, sausages, hot pork or turkey buns and salads.
